On This Very Day 2019

Letter to my Mother: Happy Birthday Mummy

I am a believer and I believe in the Word because is God’s inspired. However, anytime I stumbled on the Hebrew 9:27 that says, “It is appointed for a man to die once…” I get angry because I wish that scripture is not applicable to my mother. Unfortunate, God is not a respecter of a person (Acts 10:34).

From my studies, I have come to the understanding that there are five levels of womanhood. They are as follows: Girl, lady, wife, mother, and grandmother. A female is born a girl, grow to be a lady, become someone’s wife by choice, conceive, and deliver a child or children. Producing another mother is what qualifies her to be a grandmother. There are many girls, several ladies, a few wives, but mothers are scarce. Of course, without a mother, the position of a grandmother is not in view. The above is what reminds me of the famous proverb in the south-west of Nigeria, that says, “Iya ni wura, Baba ni jigi.” Translation, “Mother is gold; and Father is a Mirror.” Five years ago, I lost my gold (my mother) and since, I never recover from that shock that my mother could leave this world on a journey of no return.

As it is easy to buy a mirror from the store, but you have to be very prepared to obtain magnificent gold. This is the secret; neither a real mother can be found on the street, nor can it be purchased for money. Good mothers are God’s gift that cannot be quantified by money. May 20th of every year is when I wish I could be around you and celebrate your birthday, but unfortunately, your situation is beyond what I can comprehend. I wish God could spare your life to this day. Although, with God’s help, I have been able to carry myself well and attracted tremendous and many women to my life. Ranges from the former, vice president of Oral Robert University, to the mother-in-law of Pastor David Oyedepo Jr’s wife and other great women of reputations. However, nor could take the place of Grace Oluyanbo Adedokun. In 2012, when I was leaving for the United States of America, I can remember vividly, when she saw me off to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos State, Nigeria. She prayed the prayer that Isaac prayed for Jacob upon me. How I wish, she could pray it again.

Mrs. G. O Adedokun taught me life, how to live, and carry myself. She shared things that she never discussed with any of my sisters. Many people have called me their son, but they know their real biological son, while I know my biological mother. This is the secret; a good woman will never forget the day of her labor. The agony and discomfort that she experiences during labor. The unpleasant condition that she finds herself and the unbearable pain before, during, and after birth. When My wife and I had our second and third children, I was left with my wife; nobody could help I have to do all that I saw my mother did to my siblings during their birth. It was then that I released that I don’t have my gold anymore. I can remember when some people called in to give valid excuses for their failure to come to help out. However, I know someone who will never present any reason, but she will ensure that she makes it and come to my rescue; her name is Mrs. Adedokun.

I wish
I wish she still here again
I wish she could even call my name again
I wish she could share some of her wisdom again
I wish she could sell her gold to get me on the go again
I wish she could let go of her needs to meet my own needs again
I wish she could write my name down in the Bible and pray for me again

On this day of every year, I will forever be grateful to God for the womb that conceived me, the breast that fed and the hands that nurtured me. Mama Jeje, Mama Ni Israeli, Mama Oluwarotimi. She is not General Overseer, but her initial is G. O. I pray that heaven will find you worthy, and may your good record speaks for you on the day of Judgement. Your irreplaceable virtues, love, and zeal for the things of God will be forever be remembered, and your personalities virtuous speak to all generation.

It is still the same day, the same evening and night. What then is the difference? Almost all the stores are shut down many people call it the day of celebration, while others think it is another excellent opportunity to make more money. Perspective takes the stage, and different feelings fuel the hearts of the world leaders. This subject of the first day of the first month in the new 365days is tough because some call it A New Year, others say it just another day of public holiday. Now let me ask you, what does January 1st, 2019 means to you?

Since I was admitted to the University of Life in the school of purpose and have been a student of life in the graduate school of lifeology, I have come to the understanding, that life is about definition. The reason is simple; a good description takes care of deflection and deviation. It is easy to miss path, step out of purpose and go into a different direction, but with definition comes stability, strong foundation, and solid establishment.

My purpose in life is to let me share the three secrets so that you will live the year 2019 with the intention of total success. The use of these three secrets is to solidify your spirit and get you ready for the task ahead. Listen to this, the demand is high, but the good thing is that knowing these secrets will make you prepare to supply what is needed. The reason is simple; you need to take a different route, what brings you this far might not take you that far.

The Three Secrets to Living the Year 2019 With Fulfillment.

1. KNOWLEDGE
2. OWNERSHIP
3. TIME

KNOWLEDGE—If you do not learn well, you cannot earn enough.

Depth is a function of individual choice to learn. You cannot live a shallow life and expect respect from people. The world is too busy to give a platform to fools. Whatever you know is what will put you on the zenith of life to be recognized. You cannot be relevant more than what you know. Knowing is costly, time-consuming and intentional. Knowledge makes you relevant and once your relevant is sustained you naturally gain significant. You don’t wish to be known, you work on your knowledge bank, and great men will be looking for you. (Pro 22:29). Knowledge does not only stand you out, but it also gives you a platform and space among the world champions. Think Knowledge, think relevance. What is that one thing you want to learn this year?

OWNERSHIP—You cannot possess authority over what is not yours.

You can learn by mistakes, you can learn from other errors, and you can learn by working what you know. Knowledge is not enough. Regardless of whatever know, ensure you develop your own product. What you know and own are what gives confidence. Think about what will happen to IT world if Bill Gates decided not to create Microsoft. Imagine a World where Jeff Bezos does not run with his vision. Visualize a world where Pastor Paul Enenche and Pastor David Ibiyeomie apply to be Pastors in Winners Chapel International or think about Pastor Korede Komaiya does not make a bold step to start his own ministry. This is the secret; world champions are either founder or creators. They create ideas and develop content. Develop your product or service. One of my leaders who work for a company in the United States was asked return to Nigeria in 2017. He became so fearful and jittery. But he obeyed and left for Nigeria. While I was pondering about his situation. Holy Spirit tells me this, “Whatever that is not yours is not yours.” That statement might be hard to understanding, but that is the best way I can communicate my thoughts. Frustration, regret, and shame are always the end products of people who use their youthful energy to work the vision of others, and never to do something special for themselves. Ownership and authority are inseparable. You cannot be in authority over what is not yours, and if you do, it will be temporary. You cannot be in Power unless you own it. Life is a product of ownership. Whatever you own puts you in charge, and when you are in charge, you are in power. Authority makes you be the determining force behind all decision. Remember, ownership is not for everyone, because it comes with diligence, responsibility, and devotion. If you do not pay the price, you could as well stay at the bottom or top of some else’s ladder and consistently receive instruction and one day you will either be fire, retire, or retrench. Ownership breeds continuity, what are you willing to be called yours in the year 2019.

TIME— The fastest thing on earth is Time. If you do not maximize it, do not expect a reward from life.

What you or don’t do does not matter, but one thing is sure time is unstoppable. Time is not money, but what you do with your time is called value. It is the conversion of value that is called money. Therefore, doing nothing with your time is equal to wasting time. As quietness means consent so is doing nothing is to waste. Time does not crawl, neither does it work, time does not even run, neither does it fly. One thing time does is to disappear. Between July 2016 and September 2018, I was on minimum 472 flights with a minute 35minutes flying time, yet I can say boldly say time is faster than air aircraft. What then could you do keep up with time? Planning set goals and productively engage in things that put you in control of time.

We are still in Winter, Winters started December 1st, 2018 and it will run till February 28th, 2019. From March 1st to May 31st Spring will dominate without apology, and without your, permission Summers will take the owner of the year from June 1st to August 31st and come September 1st, 2019 fill the earth with your approval till November 30th. The big question, what is your plan for 2019?

New Year is not new, remember as it was, in the beginning, is now, ever shall it be, world without end…It is the same thing and the same thing that never change. Jim Rohn my life mentor said, “for things to change you have to change.” How will things change for you, learn something new, develop your own product and maximize your time? Lazy, irresponsibility and indiscipline are not jargons in the school of success. Think deep and think again, what do you want 2019 to produce for you?

How to Win Life Battles

If you respond to feedbacks you will soon find yourself at the back; if you have a good understanding of life you will know that backbitters always talk at your back and they will end up at back. Therefore, reacting to opinions is feeding more trouble.

This is what the preachers said, “The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered. Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues” (Proverbs 17:27-28).

Feedback are designed to be behind you. If you mistakenly place them in front you will lose your values and virtues. If you make them your priority, you will soon lose your properties. Only people who focus on their purpose, vision, and abilities would make it to the zenith of their lives.

This is the secret; quietness is one of the secret tools on the battlefield of life. It will pronounce your opponents a fool and teaches what you need to know in the situation and regain your place in destiny.

This is the record I have about the father of the preacher. He said Ps. 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen (God will make Him known to your enemies), I will be exalted in the earth (I will silence all the things that is working again).”

Real life is not in empty words but in Spirit-filled actions, on the platform of the Word of God. The word profit nothing but it is the spirit that gives life. The word that I speak to you they are Spirit and life. The is my secret; if it is not God’s Word is not worth your attention.

Remember no one can stand against the lord when God was in their midst, the sea saw them and fled, and mountains skipped like rams and the little hills like lambs. If you carry the presence of the lord, the situation will bow to you. It might look likes you are losing, but the earth will always tremble at the presence of the God (Ps 114).

Do not forget everything is possible if you are positive.

It Is Time

Step Up, Step Out, and Step Into Your Calling.

Rules and regulations are set by men, but faith to set a new record is given by God. Listen, those who wait will waste, but those who will go will grow and break new ground. Enough of waiting for men’s approval, your world is waiting for you.

If you can come this far, by God hands, who told you, you cannot go that far by the same hands of God? Life is infinity; self-limitation is a self-inflicted disease of destiny. Please stop subscribing to it.

Fear is a liar; mistakes (What you take in error) are a teacher of life. Inactivity on the platform of what will people say is the source frustration. Nothing great starts excellent, everything is a product a new beginning. What you are celebrating today are products of what some men and women dared to make happen yesterday.

It is time, it is your turn, don’t wait any further. Make mistakes and correct yourself, then do it again.

A tree that cannot prevent you from falling, cannot kill if it ever falls fall on you. Those who cannot help you, cannot stop you to achieve your vision. Think about it, why should you surround your fear around people who don’t care?

My father Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo said, “It is foolishness to be shameful of what is gainful.” Your vision is gainful; refuse to be shameful about it.

Those who dare it will soon own it. Go all out, Step all out and give all your best.

It is time.!!!

Please, share it and liberate someone from the spirit of postponement and fear of what will people say. Mouth is designed to talk; so let them talk. My lovely mother told me, what you do or don’t do, does not matter, people will discuss you regardless, even they talk about the dead, how much more you the living.

Get over it, just step up. It is your tune to shine.

Step Out

In 2010, I was in the south-south region of Nigeria, looking for the map of one of the oil-producing states of the country. I have asked people who I thought would have access to the map, but all effort was aborted. I later decided to ask a motorcycle rider, which finally led me to where I found the map. The event made me came up with this verdict, what you are looking for, is in the hands’ of people you do not want to ask or inside what you are not searching. I understood that what brought you here might not be enough to take you there. You need the help of others who are around to equip you for the new journey for a better destination. What then do you need now? Beware of self-limitation.

Self-limitation is the most dangerous deception that could enslave one’s destiny. Whoever, desire to feature in the future needs to be informed about self-limitation. Self-limitation has the capacity and capability to cage vision and frustrates one’s passion. It is also the highway to defeat; and access to failure. Self-limitation introduces emptiness and embraces weakness. It is the gateway to slow motion and confusion.

The solution to self-limitation is the boldness to step out. The courage to step out of old principle and walk on water like Apostle Peter. It is sometimes essential to unlearn and relearn. It is occasionally necessary to revisit and see life from another person’s perspective. Life is infinite. How far you can see is a function of how far you want to see. The only limitation out there is one that you places on yourself. As self-limitation quarantine, so stepping out breeds freedom.

Allow me to round up with three words that will make you step out with result and intention. Communing, Loving and Giving. Communing is the constant and intentional spiritual connection with people of like minds (Inner Circle). Communing makes you know your team (Colleagues) and creates bonding. It creates awareness about others and bridge gap. Communing helps with effective communication. Think communing think connection.

Love is a spiritual weapon that could shut down the intention of an adversary. You either have love, or your adversary will take the stage for your destiny. Good life feeds on love. Apostle Paul said in one of his major writing to the church in Corinth (1Cor 13:2-3), “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains but does not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”

With the above scripture, I believe love is a king. Love is the investment of yourself in the now with undivided attention. Love does not only exist between a couple for reproduction or within a family for bonding; much more love display one’s inner peace and the stepping out of comfort zone to meet the need of others without reservation.

Lastly, step out with giving. Giving is the reflection of your life. It is the indication of genuine connection and the pointer of your heart. You do not give because you have, but you give because it is what makes the resources of the world flow. As breath to life, so is giving to destiny. As love helps to share inner peace, so is giving. Giving is an act of sharing with the rest of the world. It is a way to communicate your love and compassion for others. Giving defines you; giving preserves generation and legacy.

If self-limitation is a blockage, stepping out is the solution. Stepping out, therefore, is the change in old mentality by communing with people of like minds, while showing undiluted love for the team without reservation. Remember, commune without limitation, give without reservation and love without hesitation.
