2020 One Year Bible Reading Plan Day 25| Bible Study | Rotimi Adedokun | Luke 6 and 7

Jan 25, 2020

1. Scripture Of The Day
Luke 6: 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

2. Prayer Points
Luke 6:9-10
9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? To save life or to destroy it?
10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

Ø Father, by the commandment of Jesus, I stretch forth my hands for total restoration in Jesus’ name.

Luke 6:12
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Ø Father, I receive the spirit of grace and supplication.

3. Prophecies

4. Revelation
Luke 6:22-23
What happiness it is when others hate you and exclude you and insult you and smear your name because you are mine! 23 When that happens, rejoice! Yes, leap for joy! For you will have a great reward awaiting you in heaven. And you will be in good company—the ancient prophets were treated that way too!

Joy is the result when men hate for God’s sake
Until they make God will not make you

Luke 7:3-5
3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. 4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: 5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.

Your work will speak for you.
5. Inspiration

KJV
26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

LB
26 And what sadness is ahead for those praised by the crowds—for false prophets have always been praised.

MSG
26 “There’s trouble ahead when you live only for the approval of others, saying what flatters them, doing what indulges them. Popularity contests are not truth contests—look how your ancestors approved many scoundrel preachers! Your task is to be true, not popular.

PT
26 “What sorrows await those of you who are always honored and lauded by others. For that’s how your forefathers treated every other false prophet.”

Ø Approval and celebration of men are the highways to the destruction of a fool.

Luke 7:6-7
6–7 Jesus started off with them, but on his way there, he was stopped by friends of the captain, who gave this message: “Master, don’t bother to come to me in person, for I am not good enough for you to enter my home. I’m not worthy enough to even come out to meet one like you. But if you would just release the manifestation of healing right where you are, I know that my young servant will be healed.
8 “Unlike you, I am just an ordinary man. Yet I understand the power of authority, and I see that authority operating through you. I have soldiers under me who obey my every command. I also have authorities over me whom I likewise obey. So, Master, just speak the word and healing will flow.”

The Secrets To Your Miracle: Acknowledge Your Present status

The Secrets Power Of Submission: Submission is the Secret to Authority

A decision when angry is like, stabbing yourself to death and expect to live later.

6. The Secret

Luke 6:27-36
28…bless them that curse you
29… unto him that smite you turn the other cheek
30…Give to every man that asks of you
31…Do unto others what you would want them to do to you

Ø The level at which you can take heat from people for God’s sake who purposely wrong you will determine your measure of Christianity.

Luke 7:36-50

Giving Erased Sin.

7. Action
Luke 6:46-7
46 “What good does it do for you to say I am your Lord and Master if what I teach you is not put into practice? 47 Let me describe the one who truly follows me and does what I say.

  1. Come to me
  2. Hears my saying
  3. Do my saying

8. Question Of The Day
Q: What did Jesus say to that Woman Who Anointed His Feet.
A: Luke 7:50… Go in Peace.

2020 One Year Bible Reading Plan Day 2 | Bible Study | Rotimi Adedokun | Matt 5-6

My Personal Note From Studying Matt 5-6

1. Prayer Points
Matt 5:14-16
Father, show me what to do to retain the salt and light in me for the benefit of your kingdom and the world in Jesus’ name.

2. Prophecies

Matt 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Between God and Mammon, there is the One. You either be a man or woman of God or a man of woman of gold. Gold is good but is only limited on the earth; also, God is good. He gives eternal life. Make your choice.

The Prophecy
Throughout the year 2020, you will never serve the God of gold (Mammon) in Jesus’ name. God will be your God from the beginning to the end, during the day and night in Jesus’ name.

3. Revelation

Matt 5:1
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him

Only the disciples are allowed on the mountain, and only those who are on the mountain can be taught; only those who are taught (Prepares, education/ train and get your ready for the task ahead of you) will know, and only those who know can lead.
Are you a disciple?

4. Inspiration

Matt 5:29
…it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Living Bible Version
Better for part of you to be destroyed than for all of you to be cast into hell.

A good life starts with discomfort and end in comfort and not otherwise.

It is better to give out little now, than for you to lose it all at the end.

Mic Murdock said, “there are two types of pain. The pain of discipline and the pain of regret.”
Jim Rohn said, “the pain of discipline weighs ounces while the pain of regret weighs tons.”

This is what I say, “If you do the easy thing, your life will be hard if you do the hard thing, your life will be easy.”

5. Action
Matt 6:33
You seek the things of the world like the Gentiles does, or you seek/find God first, and all other things shall be added to you. Life is a choice. I believe it is wise for you to seek one thing and have other things added to you. Seek the kingdom. Serve God, Be a blessing, love people, and witness to them about the love of Jesus.
