Scripture Reading: Luke 15:11-24…

There are some chapters or books in the Bible that stand for some life situations. For examples. 1 Cor 13 is a love chapter. Hebrew 11 is a faith chapter. Genesis 1 is a creation chapter; the books of proverbs and Ecclesiastes are wisdom and how to live a fulfilling life. Psalm 51 is a forgiveness chapter. However, people never take time out to know why those books or chapters were written. King David wrote chapter 51 after God exposes his sin of adultery and murder. This same David, the God, called him the apple of His eye (Ps 17:8).

From our reading today, the prodigal son, just like king David did, went back to his father. I can picture the prodigal son’s father waiting on him every day knowing well that someday he will come back. Remember, the expectation of the righteous shall never be cut off (Pro 23:18). One thing that you should know today is that no matter what the situation is, God is waiting for you. You need to go back to him. The secret of God merry and your happiness a function of your decision to go back to God. Luke 15: 24 says they began to be merry until the prodigal son decided to go back; his father did not celebrate.

Things to ponder on, what if Adam and Eve request the forgiveness of God? What if Eli, the priest, asks God for forgiveness? What if king Saul begs God for mercy? Never assume there is no forgiveness until God said so; you know He will always forgive you (Eze 18:23, 33:11). This was how God answered Adam when Adam told Him that they were naked. Gen 3:11, Who said to you that you were naked? Saul’s refusal to ask forgiveness made him lose his throne, but Daniel meekness to demand forgiveness established his throne gave him dynasty (1Sam 2:35). Those who go back to God will always retain their space in life. I dare you today to go back to God because He is still waiting for you.

Scripture Reading
Solomon said, “Surely, in vain the net is spread In the sight of any bird” (Proverb 1:17).

Spiritual awakening is the secret of authority over the physical world. Once you are dead spiritually, it just a matter of time you will soon be out physical. Bishop David Oyedepo said, “If it is well with you spiritually, it shall be well with you everywherely.” Another name for spiritual awakening is spiritual alertness. Paul said those who sleep, sleep at night (1The 5:7). Night in this context of devotional means the late age of your life. What the above entails is that the only time you could neglect your spirituality if you choose to is in your old age. What age then is old age? According to the scripture, old age is between the age bracket of 101-120years, the bible says a child shall die at 100 (Is 65:20). Even late king David said those who are planted in the house of God (Children of God) should bring forth fruit in their old age. Spiritual vacation is a risk Bishop David Oyedepo says.

This is the secret; not to be prey for your enemy, you must pray. Not to be a food to your adversaries, you must be full, and not to waste away, you must wait on God. Prophet Isaiah said those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength (Is 40:31). Two verses before verse 31 of Isaiah 40 says, “He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.” Therefore, no matter how weak you are today, God, He will supply your strength if you wait on Him. One of the things waiting on God does is to give and makes you alert and awake to the situation of life. It was a command when Paul said, “Awake, you who sleep…” Until Jesus Christ fell asleep, the storm did not come to the boat (Luke 8:23). As a bird that is awake could not be prey to the predator, so is a Christian who is awake will not be prey to his oppressor. It is time for your spiritual awakening.

THE SECRET POWER OF ACTION

Nothing will be done on earth until earth invites heaven by any forms of action. Action is the foundation for all change and the fuel for results. Prayer is good; however, prayer without action will inevitably culminate into frustration. Even unction without action will end in commotion and confusion. Even faith without work, James calls death (James 2:26). You don’t need to do the magic, but you need to set things into motion by your action.

Gen 12:1 & 4).Now the LORD HAD said unto Abram, GET THEE OUT of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: SO ABRAM DEPARTED, as THE LORD HAD SPOKEN UNTO HIM; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran

Heb. 11:7 and 30 say, “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, MOVED WITH FEAR, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is by faith…By faith, the walls of Jericho fell AFTER (Action) the army had marched around them for seven days.

The Lord had said to Abram (Gen 12:1). The big question is how long the Lord has been telling Abram to leave? Noah moved with fear, and the wall of Jericho only fell after the army of the Lord had moved for seven days. Without action, therefore, results will be far from your dwelling.

Anywhere Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul go (ACTION), there will either be miracles or riot. Remember, Jesus, I know, Paul I Know, who are you? (Acts 19:15).

Luke said in Acts 10:38, “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how HE WENT AROUND DOING GOOD and healing all who were under the power of the devil because God was with him. Pauls said in his letter Gal 1:15-16, “But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, MY IMMEDIATE RESPONSE was not to consult any human being.”

Action is not in just activities but obedience to God’s plans for your life. Gen 22:16 says, “By Myself, I have sworn, says the LORD, BECAUSE YOU HAVE DONE THIS THING, and have not withheld your son, your only son.”

1. Human responsibility to secure the divine ability
2. The earthly capability that provokes heavenly capacity
3. The passionate drive with a purpose that initiates meaningful intention.

O— Oppose Competitors
N— Never Quit

Life’s secret is as much you CAN, or like nothing you desire.

Inaction handicaps God (Mark 6:5). The person that is destined to kill Goliath is not David, but Saul. It was one of the kings duties to defend his people. The anointing on king Saul was strong enough to bring down the head of Goliath, but fear storms Saul’s heart and his army, but David took over the stage by conquering the spirit of fear and do justice to the enemy of the God’s army. Listen to this, it’s either God’s Way or God’s Whale. Jonah 2:17. Action is a must.

Eze 22:30 says God is looking for a man among them who will stand in GAP (Go Against Poverty). God is looking for a man that will act and check heaven to make things happen on earth.

The Mystery Of On The Go.

The law of action state that, the corresponding response to the demand of the hours is the mother of all results.

1. Water turns into Wine By Action. John 2:5, and 7-9
His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water” (The demand), And they filled them up to the brim (Action). 8 And He said to them, “Draw some out now (The demand), and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it (Action). 9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.

The miracle of the wine does not happen at the command of Jesus but at the obedience of His disciples.

2. Five loaves and two fishes’ multiple in the hands of the disciples. John 6:11-12
And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, HE DISTRIBUTED THEM TO THE DISCIPLES and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.”

Five loaves and two fish did not multiply at the breaking and prayer of Jesus but at the distribution of his disciple.

3. Lepers at the Gates 2Kings 7:3-7

Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? 4 If we say, ‘WE WILL ENTER THE CITY,’ THE FAMINE IS IN THE CITY, and we shall die there. And IF WE SIT HERE, WE DIE ALSO. Now, therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.” 5 And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise, no one was there. 6 FOR THE LORD HAD CAUSED THE ARMY OF THE SYRIANS TO HEAR THE NOISE OF CHARIOTS AND THE NOISE OF HORSES—THE NOISE OF A GREAT ARMY; SO THEY SAID TO ONE ANOTHER, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!” 7 Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.

Nothing happens while sitting, but God causes the army of their enemies to hear a strange noise which makes them run for their lives.

The Secret
As indecision is a decision; so is inaction is an action. If you decide to do nothing, you chose to live a future that is void of results.

1. Act to be Holy. (1Peter 1:16–Be ye Holy as Your Heaven Father Is Holy. Heb. 12:14… Follow Peace
2. Act to Serve God: You Shall Serve The Lord Your God. (Exo 23:25-26/Job 36:11)
3. Act to be responsible for Yourself and Your Family. Esther 4:14, Daniel 1:8 Neh. 1&2.

Benefits of Actions
1. Established Name
2. Established Purpose
3. Established Vision
4. Established Posterity
5. Established Brand

Letter to my Mother: Happy Birthday Mummy

I am a believer and I believe in the Word because is God’s inspired. However, anytime I stumbled on the Hebrew 9:27 that says, “It is appointed for a man to die once…” I get angry because I wish that scripture is not applicable to my mother. Unfortunate, God is not a respecter of a person (Acts 10:34).

From my studies, I have come to the understanding that there are five levels of womanhood. They are as follows: Girl, lady, wife, mother, and grandmother. A female is born a girl, grow to be a lady, become someone’s wife by choice, conceive, and deliver a child or children. Producing another mother is what qualifies her to be a grandmother. There are many girls, several ladies, a few wives, but mothers are scarce. Of course, without a mother, the position of a grandmother is not in view. The above is what reminds me of the famous proverb in the south-west of Nigeria, that says, “Iya ni wura, Baba ni jigi.” Translation, “Mother is gold; and Father is a Mirror.” Five years ago, I lost my gold (my mother) and since, I never recover from that shock that my mother could leave this world on a journey of no return.

As it is easy to buy a mirror from the store, but you have to be very prepared to obtain magnificent gold. This is the secret; neither a real mother can be found on the street, nor can it be purchased for money. Good mothers are God’s gift that cannot be quantified by money. May 20th of every year is when I wish I could be around you and celebrate your birthday, but unfortunately, your situation is beyond what I can comprehend. I wish God could spare your life to this day. Although, with God’s help, I have been able to carry myself well and attracted tremendous and many women to my life. Ranges from the former, vice president of Oral Robert University, to the mother-in-law of Pastor David Oyedepo Jr’s wife and other great women of reputations. However, nor could take the place of Grace Oluyanbo Adedokun. In 2012, when I was leaving for the United States of America, I can remember vividly, when she saw me off to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos State, Nigeria. She prayed the prayer that Isaac prayed for Jacob upon me. How I wish, she could pray it again.

Mrs. G. O Adedokun taught me life, how to live, and carry myself. She shared things that she never discussed with any of my sisters. Many people have called me their son, but they know their real biological son, while I know my biological mother. This is the secret; a good woman will never forget the day of her labor. The agony and discomfort that she experiences during labor. The unpleasant condition that she finds herself and the unbearable pain before, during, and after birth. When My wife and I had our second and third children, I was left with my wife; nobody could help I have to do all that I saw my mother did to my siblings during their birth. It was then that I released that I don’t have my gold anymore. I can remember when some people called in to give valid excuses for their failure to come to help out. However, I know someone who will never present any reason, but she will ensure that she makes it and come to my rescue; her name is Mrs. Adedokun.

I wish
I wish she still here again
I wish she could even call my name again
I wish she could share some of her wisdom again
I wish she could sell her gold to get me on the go again
I wish she could let go of her needs to meet my own needs again
I wish she could write my name down in the Bible and pray for me again

On this day of every year, I will forever be grateful to God for the womb that conceived me, the breast that fed and the hands that nurtured me. Mama Jeje, Mama Ni Israeli, Mama Oluwarotimi. She is not General Overseer, but her initial is G. O. I pray that heaven will find you worthy, and may your good record speaks for you on the day of Judgement. Your irreplaceable virtues, love, and zeal for the things of God will be forever be remembered, and your personalities virtuous speak to all generation.

The littleness of men makes their words of no effect. Only God’s Word has the capacity and capability to deliver every of men hearts desires.

Who told you that you cannot excel?
Who told you that your situation cannot turn?
Who told you that you can’t celebrate?
Who told you that the sickness will kill you?
Who told you that you will not survive?

No matter what men said to you, come on Saturday May 4th, 2019 by 11AM @ Hampton Inn and Suite and hear what God has to say. Why? Men are liars, but God is the Truth.

Remember, all things are possible if only you can believe and faith comes by hearing.

THE POWER OF SPEAKING

One ancient writer said, “God has not given us the spirit of fear…” (2Tim 1:7), however, it is imperative to know that we all be afraid of one thing or something. Sometimes last year in South Dakota at Ellsworth military base, I preached a message titled “Conquering The Spirit Of Fear.” While I was trying to round off the service, I perceived in my spirit that the devil was talking back to me, making me doubt all that I had preached. Immediately I replied the devil that you are not in charge of my thought but God. Jesus is the Word, and He is the Way, not Devil. Therefore, anytime you hear a strange voice in your being, telling you what you cannot do, quickly react by saying, listen, Mr. Devil, it is not your call to say to me or let me know about my limitation. This is the secret, anytime you hear who you cannot see; you have to speak aloud, so people are around would ask who are conversing. This is the secret of living life, be a SPEAKER. All speakers speak. If you want to be in charge of your destiny and win your war, you have to develop the capability to speak. The word SPEAKING is from two words: Speak and King. In my view, I will say, every speaker speaks, and those who speak are kings.

The devil cannot be in charge of you until he shuts your mouth. Until he captures your thoughts, he cannot imprison your life. The ability to say, what others would not say, is the secret to live in a world that others cannot afford. The reason is simple, we’re living in this world of words. God created the heavens and the earth with His words. Jesus conquered his oppositions by His word. Until politicians’ words are heard, their aspiration may never see the light of the day. Pastors inspire their congregation with the word so they can live a life of intention and results. The big question, what about you? Are your words ready and seasoned enough to be heard? Or are you brave enough to speak?

How to Speak
Speak with Knowledge—You cannot speak about what you don’t know. Knowledge fuels words.
Speak with Passion—You can’t pass on, what you can’t pass in. Life is FIFO. First In First Out
Speak from You—Originality cannot be acquired, it is intentional, and it can be developed.
Speak with Compassion—Let your words meet people where they are not where you are.
Speak into the Future—Until you say the impossible, you may never see the possible.

How to Turn Anything Around

Discover what is written—Until you know about it you can never speak it
Believe it (the Word)—Belief is the pointer to what you have received.
Acts with speed—Inability to act is the evidence that you don’t believe. Every received word gives the energy to move.
Hold on to faith—Everything must be tested and proven; if you fake it, life will expose you.
Be Unwavering—Stability is what attracts others to your tree and trusted in its fruits
Celebrate Confidence—The ability to embrace little things give room to a big thing. Celebrate!
Testify of the written word—No one lacks what they share, people only lack what they keep.

It is okay if you cannot control the situation, but it is not okay if you cannot speak change into the situation. This is the secret; words are powerful, light, shaper, life and real. The more you speak, the more things change, the better you speak, the faster things turn, and the deeper you speak the easier things become. Words are king. Don’t just say something, but speak something. Do you want to see the change in your world? Speak, Speak now, Speak life, because words are creative. Speak and see your world change.

It is not about who has gone ahead, but who is coming behind.

Elders cannot be God, but the younger ones can be elders.

The Future is not to those who are leading, but to those who are ready to take the lead.

Those who refuse to be stop can never be stopped, but those who stop are ready to be stopped.

The law of motion in the school of success states that a Going Force is more powerful than all Stopping Forces.

The enemies of Jesus never gave up until they killed Him, But God Never gave up until He raised Him.

Everything is ready to stop you, but you need the Spirit Of God that has the divine ability to strengthen your inner man.

You need to create trouble for trouble, if you don’t want trouble to trouble you.

Anywhere Apostle Paul goes, there will either be miracle or riot. Remember, Jesus I know, Paul I Know, Who are you?

Without a Word, you cannot dominate your world. Words breed confidence and establish the soul.

There are 3 types of The Word (Exo 4:17 & Is 11:1).

1. Right Word…Job 6:25 Forceful
2. Sent Word…..Ps 107:20 Heals and Delivers
3. Season Word…Pro 15:23 Are Good

This year, below is the Word that God gives me and my ministry, “He then said, “ GOD ’s word: Dig ditches all over this valley. Here’s what will happen—you won’t hear the wind, you won’t see the rain, but this valley is going to fill up with water and your army and your animals will drink their fill. This is easy for GOD to do; he will also hand over Moab to you. You will ravage the country: Knock out its fortifications, level the key villages, clear-cut the orchards, clog the springs, and litter the cultivated fields with stones” 2 Kings‬ ‭3:16-19‬ ‭MSG‬‬.
