My Personal Note From Studying Matt 7-8.

1. Scripture Of The Day Matt 7-8

Matt 7:11

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

2. Prayer Point

Matt 7:24-25

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Father, give me the power to hear your word and act accordingly to withstand the storm of life in Jesus’ name.

3. Prophecy

Matt 7:21

This is year by the power that is in the name of Jesus, you will do the will of God to the end in Jesus name.

4. Revelation

Matt 7:20

Wherefore by their fruits, ye shall know them.

You cannot be known by your walk, word, or believes, but by fruits (results).

Life is not in what you say, but in the result that you command.

Talk is cheap; results are expensive

Words are free, but actions have a price tag

Normal life is easy, but living extra-ordinary is costly

Matt 8:11-12

And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

Understand gives you access to an inheritance.

Matt 8:14 …in bed with a fever

Fever is a person.

Matt 8:15

He touched her and she began she arose and minister to them.

One of the reasons you are healed is to serve.

Matt 8:16-18

Leverage on other testimony, to attract your miracle.

The people heard what Jesus did for Peter’s mother-in-law the came to receive their’

Matt 8: 24-26

And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26 And he saith unto them, why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Because Jesus is in the boat, safety is a guarantee.

Matt 8:34

And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

ü Results draws attention.

5. Inspiration

Matt 7:17-18

17 Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

It’s not about the fruit but tree. Much more it not about the tree but the seed.
The seed grows to be the tree, and the tree produces the fruit.
Your source will determine your results
Where you are feeding from will determine how will end
A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, and an evil tree can’t produce good fruit.
The result is a function of your person.
Your person is a function of your intake.

6. Action

Matt 8:5-7

5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

Some things will never come to you, but you have to go to it
Those who stand to demand what they want will always get it
What do you want to do is what will birth what you will get
Sit back like last year and do nothing, or you want to stand this year and be what God has ordained you to be?

7. Question of the Day?

Who taught the people with authority and not like the scribes?

Answer: Jesus.

2020: Writing Challenge Day 1 | Discipline| Rotimi Adedokun

Hard work is meaningful. However, beyond hard work is discipline. Discipline is the ability to put your body under in other to achieve a set goal. Discipline is a force that ensures the finished product all one’s engagement. Discipline is the capability that solves all hard sentence of life. Nothing becomes great only by hard work, greatness is much more a function of hard work and discipline. Hard work gets to work, but discipline continues with the task until the work results in success. George Washington said, “discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable; procures success to the weak, and esteem to all.”

Purpose is excellent; a vision is good, and a dream is powerful, but discipline is the mother of them all. Without discipline, purpose will be questioned. Without discipline, vision will be blurring, and a dream without discipline will be drenched. Hard work goes to work, but discipline gets the work done. Vision sees the future, but discipline draws the plan and picks the team, shares responsibilities, and coordinate get the results.

Nothing is impossible where discipline is still breathing. There is always a way out when discipline is still leading the way. Show me a disciplined man, and I will point to you the possibility in a seemingly impossibility situation. Discipline is a creator; Discipline is a finisher, and discipline is the insurance of greatness. Everybody can go to rest, but not discipline. Discipline says until today’s task is complete, rest will never be tolerated.

No one can be discipline for you, you are either discipline or you are not, and if you are not, you will serve the disciplined soul. Discipline can either be a must, a life, or a choice. Discipline is a must for a winner, a life for a champion but a choice for an average man. You can’t be disciplined and not know, and you can’t be disciplined and not win. Winners are discipline, but champions live a disciplined life.

Little discipline today will get your names out of the mediocre list. More discipline will get you in the right direction, while real discipline will change your destiny and write your name among world changers. Think about real success and the possibility of life, think discipline.

The big question is, are you discipline?

My Personal Note From Studying Matt 5-6

1. Prayer Points
Matt 5:14-16
Father, show me what to do to retain the salt and light in me for the benefit of your kingdom and the world in Jesus’ name.

2. Prophecies

Matt 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Between God and Mammon, there is the One. You either be a man or woman of God or a man of woman of gold. Gold is good but is only limited on the earth; also, God is good. He gives eternal life. Make your choice.

The Prophecy
Throughout the year 2020, you will never serve the God of gold (Mammon) in Jesus’ name. God will be your God from the beginning to the end, during the day and night in Jesus’ name.

3. Revelation

Matt 5:1
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him

Only the disciples are allowed on the mountain, and only those who are on the mountain can be taught; only those who are taught (Prepares, education/ train and get your ready for the task ahead of you) will know, and only those who know can lead.
Are you a disciple?

4. Inspiration

Matt 5:29
…it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Living Bible Version
Better for part of you to be destroyed than for all of you to be cast into hell.

A good life starts with discomfort and end in comfort and not otherwise.

It is better to give out little now, than for you to lose it all at the end.

Mic Murdock said, “there are two types of pain. The pain of discipline and the pain of regret.”
Jim Rohn said, “the pain of discipline weighs ounces while the pain of regret weighs tons.”

This is what I say, “If you do the easy thing, your life will be hard if you do the hard thing, your life will be easy.”

5. Action
Matt 6:33
You seek the things of the world like the Gentiles does, or you seek/find God first, and all other things shall be added to you. Life is a choice. I believe it is wise for you to seek one thing and have other things added to you. Seek the kingdom. Serve God, Be a blessing, love people, and witness to them about the love of Jesus.

If you think you can, you’re right, and if you think you can’t, you’re right. The secret is this: your conclusion is the seal of your portion. The state of your heart is the secret of your life. What you can’t imagine happening will never happen. Your mental readiness with faith has an unlimited capacity for results. Living a life that is void of negativity is the beginning of a new dawn. During chaos, talk peace, in sickness project good health, and in lack speak abundance. How you response during challenges is what will determine your circumstance. The reason is simple; everything is possible if you are positive. Positivity is the mother of possibility.

You Must Be Born Again

Pastor Mrs. Lynette Hagin said, “God’s grace shows God love for us, but our holiness shows how much we love God.” All that Jesus is requesting from you for all that He has done is to give your life to Him (Pro 23:26). It is called Be Born Again. Why born again, you ask, someone said, “those who are born twice will die once, and those who are born once will die twice.” Born again is to be born of water and of the Spirit by faith through grace. Jesus said; anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but those who believe not are condemned already. What is the condemnation? That light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil (John 3:17-19).

Below are the five reasons you must be born again

Forgiveness of Your Sin. Matt 1:21
All people have sinned, including you, and have come short of the glory of God (Is 64:6/Rom 3:23/Rom 5:12/ 1Cor 15:21). Nakedness is the end result of those who are out of God’s glory (Gen 3:9-10). Redemption is the channel at which God restores glory to His people. The main reason Christ came to this world forgive your sin (Matt 1:21). He doesn’t Judge you, He loves, and He won’t condemn you (John 3:16-17).

Guaranty of Your Wealth
Jesus Christ, who is God in the human body, posses the unbelievable wealth that the world cannot contain. That was why He shunned the devil when he tempted Him (Matt 4) because He knew that the world and all that dwell in it belongs to Him (Ps 24:1, Hag 2:6-9). This is the secret, you cannot promise someone what belongs to him, but you can give them what you have. Jesus promised you that if you seek Him and His Kingdom, all that the world is busy looking for shall be added to you (Matt 6:33). He came to this world wretched just that you may be rich (2Cor 8:9). He guarantees you of all His wealth.

Continuous and Great Results
One of the great reasons why you need to give your life to Christ is for you to have an impact on the earth. Jesus once said, those who believe in Him, we do what He did and more significant (John 14:12). Redemption, therefore, is not an escape for mediocrity but the gateway to impact your world. The two-third of the world population subscribing to the leadership of Jesus Christ. He promised you will do more, which means your impact will go from coast to coast and from generation to generation.

Take Away Your Shame
Shame is put, your inability to fulfill life’s demand. Jesus delivers from shame. He delivers the hungry from shame. He gives them meals. He delivers the widow from the shame of death, He raised her son. He delivers the adulterous woman from the shame of condemnation and sin, her accusers left the scene. He also delivers a blind man from the shame of sickness, He restores his sight. The big question is this? What your shame? The good news Jesus will today.

Guaranteed Heaven
Your life is needed to live on the earth, but to make it to heaven, you need your souls. This was why Jesus said, what will profit a man who gains the whole world and lose his soul (Mark 8:38/Matt 16:26). What that connotes is that, if you think it is okay to have anything that you want on earth by all means and forget that there is God who will judge your works, heaven for good works but hell for evil deeds. Giving your life to Jesus Christ will not only provide all that you will ever desire in this world but also promises experience after here. It is called eternity. Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions…I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may also be.” (John 14:2-3).

If I were you, I would not have a second thought about my decision to accept Jesus as my Lord and personal savior. Why you say? My answer is simple, no offer in this world could beat Jesus’ offer. If you are ready, say the prayer after me:

Redemption Prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ. I thank you for the offer that you present to me, I know that nowhere or person in this world could offer me something close. I am here just as I am. I recognize that I am a sinner, and I know you died for me and rose again to make me a complete human being. Therefore, forgive me of all wrong, make me your child, make me a better person for the sake of your kingdom. Henceforth, I give my life to you to lead, direct, and take control of me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Scripture Reading: Mark 9:1-2

Every invitation is for a purpose; the one without is a trap in disguise. Christianity is the call for a mission. The message of Moses to Pharaoh was not let my people go, but “let my people go, that they may serve me (God)” (Exo 7:16, 8:1, and 9:13) The word serve is to accomplish a purpose and fulfill a mission that I have for them. Peter said, “…God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him” (MSG 1Peter 2:9).

From our reading today, Jesus called his disciples together, not to come and hang out or chat or talk about the latest trending news on social media, but he called them to equipped and get them ready for the mission. This is the secret; there is no time to waste — every second, minute, and hour count. Someone said what differentiates a good from a great leader is that great leader impregnates people with vision and responsibilities while a good leader manages people who are working. Why do you think God paid the ultimate price for your life? The answer is simple, to join him in reaping the world back to him.

Luke documented that all the twelve disciples were all equipped with power and authority (Luke 9:1). Out of the twelve, one doubted him, another sold him, and one denied him, but some preached His gospel. The big question: what are you doing to do with the power and authority that He gave you?

THE POWER OF SPEAKING

One ancient writer said, “God has not given us the spirit of fear…” (2Tim 1:7), however, it is imperative to know that we all be afraid of one thing or something. Sometimes last year in South Dakota at Ellsworth military base, I preached a message titled “Conquering The Spirit Of Fear.” While I was trying to round off the service, I perceived in my spirit that the devil was talking back to me, making me doubt all that I had preached. Immediately I replied the devil that you are not in charge of my thought but God. Jesus is the Word, and He is the Way, not Devil. Therefore, anytime you hear a strange voice in your being, telling you what you cannot do, quickly react by saying, listen, Mr. Devil, it is not your call to say to me or let me know about my limitation. This is the secret, anytime you hear who you cannot see; you have to speak aloud, so people are around would ask who are conversing. This is the secret of living life, be a SPEAKER. All speakers speak. If you want to be in charge of your destiny and win your war, you have to develop the capability to speak. The word SPEAKING is from two words: Speak and King. In my view, I will say, every speaker speaks, and those who speak are kings.

The devil cannot be in charge of you until he shuts your mouth. Until he captures your thoughts, he cannot imprison your life. The ability to say, what others would not say, is the secret to live in a world that others cannot afford. The reason is simple, we’re living in this world of words. God created the heavens and the earth with His words. Jesus conquered his oppositions by His word. Until politicians’ words are heard, their aspiration may never see the light of the day. Pastors inspire their congregation with the word so they can live a life of intention and results. The big question, what about you? Are your words ready and seasoned enough to be heard? Or are you brave enough to speak?

How to Speak
Speak with Knowledge—You cannot speak about what you don’t know. Knowledge fuels words.
Speak with Passion—You can’t pass on, what you can’t pass in. Life is FIFO. First In First Out
Speak from You—Originality cannot be acquired, it is intentional, and it can be developed.
Speak with Compassion—Let your words meet people where they are not where you are.
Speak into the Future—Until you say the impossible, you may never see the possible.

How to Turn Anything Around

Discover what is written—Until you know about it you can never speak it
Believe it (the Word)—Belief is the pointer to what you have received.
Acts with speed—Inability to act is the evidence that you don’t believe. Every received word gives the energy to move.
Hold on to faith—Everything must be tested and proven; if you fake it, life will expose you.
Be Unwavering—Stability is what attracts others to your tree and trusted in its fruits
Celebrate Confidence—The ability to embrace little things give room to a big thing. Celebrate!
Testify of the written word—No one lacks what they share, people only lack what they keep.

It is okay if you cannot control the situation, but it is not okay if you cannot speak change into the situation. This is the secret; words are powerful, light, shaper, life and real. The more you speak, the more things change, the better you speak, the faster things turn, and the deeper you speak the easier things become. Words are king. Don’t just say something, but speak something. Do you want to see the change in your world? Speak, Speak now, Speak life, because words are creative. Speak and see your world change.

Step Out

In 2010, I was in the south-south region of Nigeria, looking for the map of one of the oil-producing states of the country. I have asked people who I thought would have access to the map, but all effort was aborted. I later decided to ask a motorcycle rider, which finally led me to where I found the map. The event made me came up with this verdict, what you are looking for, is in the hands’ of people you do not want to ask or inside what you are not searching. I understood that what brought you here might not be enough to take you there. You need the help of others who are around to equip you for the new journey for a better destination. What then do you need now? Beware of self-limitation.

Self-limitation is the most dangerous deception that could enslave one’s destiny. Whoever, desire to feature in the future needs to be informed about self-limitation. Self-limitation has the capacity and capability to cage vision and frustrates one’s passion. It is also the highway to defeat; and access to failure. Self-limitation introduces emptiness and embraces weakness. It is the gateway to slow motion and confusion.

The solution to self-limitation is the boldness to step out. The courage to step out of old principle and walk on water like Apostle Peter. It is sometimes essential to unlearn and relearn. It is occasionally necessary to revisit and see life from another person’s perspective. Life is infinite. How far you can see is a function of how far you want to see. The only limitation out there is one that you places on yourself. As self-limitation quarantine, so stepping out breeds freedom.

Allow me to round up with three words that will make you step out with result and intention. Communing, Loving and Giving. Communing is the constant and intentional spiritual connection with people of like minds (Inner Circle). Communing makes you know your team (Colleagues) and creates bonding. It creates awareness about others and bridge gap. Communing helps with effective communication. Think communing think connection.

Love is a spiritual weapon that could shut down the intention of an adversary. You either have love, or your adversary will take the stage for your destiny. Good life feeds on love. Apostle Paul said in one of his major writing to the church in Corinth (1Cor 13:2-3), “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains but does not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”

With the above scripture, I believe love is a king. Love is the investment of yourself in the now with undivided attention. Love does not only exist between a couple for reproduction or within a family for bonding; much more love display one’s inner peace and the stepping out of comfort zone to meet the need of others without reservation.

Lastly, step out with giving. Giving is the reflection of your life. It is the indication of genuine connection and the pointer of your heart. You do not give because you have, but you give because it is what makes the resources of the world flow. As breath to life, so is giving to destiny. As love helps to share inner peace, so is giving. Giving is an act of sharing with the rest of the world. It is a way to communicate your love and compassion for others. Giving defines you; giving preserves generation and legacy.

If self-limitation is a blockage, stepping out is the solution. Stepping out, therefore, is the change in old mentality by communing with people of like minds, while showing undiluted love for the team without reservation. Remember, commune without limitation, give without reservation and love without hesitation.

Marriage 101 #3

One of the secrets of life is that “No One Owns You Anything.” To get what you want, you have to let go what you have. Good news, marriage is not exempted from this golden rule. Therefore, a sample is the function of example. The Law of example states that you cannot make others do what you cannot do for yourself.

EXPECTATION BEFORE INITIATION WILL BREED UNLIMITED FRUSTRATION

Husbands don’t except respect before you show love, and wives don’t except love before you show respect.

Waiting is very good, but in marriage, it will lead to wasting. What you want is the function of what you will give.

The Secret
Good and enviable marriage is possible if you are proactive.

“After these things, the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go (Sample).” Luke‬ ‭10:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In other to get what you want in marriage, you have to initiate it by giving what your spouse needs. Remember whoever takes the lead, is the leader. So, take the lead, initiate the change.

Remember, keep loving your own spouse.
